COMPUTERVISION TURNS TO NEURON DATA'S ELEMENTS
ENVIRONMENT FOR ITS NEXT GENERATION OPTEGRA

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 4, 1995 -- Neuron Data, Inc. today announced that Computervision Corp. will employ its Elements Environment as the user interface framework and portable services layer for Computervision's next-generation enterprise data management software product, Optegra. Elements Environment is a leading high-end development solution for building distributed business-critical applications. Computervision is one of the morethan 2,000 leading independent software vendors (ISVs) and value-added resellers (VARs), including American Management Systems (AMS), Computron, ESRI, General Magic, IBM, Infinity Systems, NASDAQ and Platinum technology that resell or embed Neuron Data technology. The sale of Neuron Data-based software solutions represents more than $2 billion in annual revenue for the company's ISV/VAR partners.

Bedford, Massachusetts-based Computervision Corporation is a $573 million international supplier of enterprise-wide product development softwareand services. The company's product and process data management (PDM) and design automation (CAE/CAD/CAM) software solutions help manufacturers improve product quality and reduce time to market. Computervision is utilizing Elements Environment to build the user interface component of its cross-platform desktop applications that incorporate workflow and document management capabilities. Additionally, Computervision will resell Neuron Data's OPEN INTERFACE development tool as part of its Optegra product suite. "We'll benefit substantially from Neuron Data's robust, cross-platformdevelopment environment," said Henry Truong, Computervision's technical director for workgroup products. "It allows us to create highly-functional user interfaces to all the platforms (UNIX, PC and Macintosh) used by our Optegra family of enterprise data management products. Our customers benefit from the immediate availability of our products on their chosen platforms, presented with the native look-and-feel of the graphical user interface (GUI) they are familiar with. This is an important consideration in our customer's quest to achieve complete Electronic Product Definition (EPD) with Computervision."
